Andy Tymoszenko

Mr. Tymoszenko is a senior executive with over thirty-five years of experience in managing manufacturing companies with deep experience in the industrial, automotive, aerospace, electronics, metal fabrication, and consumer products industries. Since 1980, he has been the leader at a number of companies where the goal was to improve enterprise operations and to quickly increase cash flows. Much of his career has been spent with companies that had a strong corporate commitment to value creation and gave Mr. Tymoszenko the responsibility of taking various operations to world class levels. Mr. Tymoszenko's experiences range from process industries to high volume repetitive production and low volume engineered to order custom built products.

As Senior Operations Director at MainStream Management LLC, Mr. Tymoszenko works within the company's Performance NOW – Manufacturing practice. Performance NOW brings rapid change to organizations by utilizing an approach that is simple, direct, and fast acting to create value and generate results that have an immediate impact for our clients. Mr. Tymoszenko specializes in performing due diligences, operations assessments, performance improvement, lean implementations, and operational turnarounds strictly for private equity owned portfolio companies. He has worked on a number of engagements at middle market portfolio companies and assisted the companies management teams achieve multi-millions dollars of bottom line cost savings by streamlining and improving their business processes.

Recently, Mr. Tymoszenko successfully completed an engagement at an electronics company involving a new facility construction and the relocation of the existing business. He also assisted the company's management in reorganizing the business to handle future growth. During the reorganization, Mr. Tymoszenko identified and fixed a multi million dollar cash problem that immediately improved the company's cash position. He also trained a new COO for the business. Mr. Tymoszenko's other major engagements performing several business assessments that helped companies develop roadmaps for quantifiable bottom line improvements.

Previously, Mr. Tymoszenko was a COO and Managing Consultant with a boutique M&A strategic operations and investment firm that specializes in small to medium size manufacturing and distribution companies. Here he worked at portfolio companies to increase performance and value through the improvement of cash flow. Major engagements included an international automotive transmission company, an aluminum extruding company, a rack manufacturing company, and tool box manufacturer.

In the past decade, Mr. Tymoszenko was COO at a firm that had responsibility for the management and profitability of outsourced non production resources (tooling and MRO) for large multi-billion dollar corporations in the United States. He is considered an expert in applying lean thinking and value stream mapping to a plant's non-production areas (ranging from machined repair parts to tool cribs and plant engineering services), an area that lean implementers have only recently begun to address, but one where implementing lean has the potential to significantly lower working capital while increasing production uptime. In less than four years at these companies, the cumulative cost savings generated by Mr. Tymoszenko's team were in excess of $60 million.

Mr. Tymoszenko began his career as a manufacturing engineer and rapidly advanced through various middle management positions in engineering and operations and developed the reputation as the cost reduction “guru”. He led various productivity projects that improved manufacturing and white-collar processes. He continued to groom his management skills in several Plant Manager and Vice President of Operations positions where he led the conversion from the traditional batch processing operation into world-class lean businesses. He has also been responsible for plant consolidations as well as a major Greenfield start-up of a world class facility to produce low-volume custom engineered products. In addition, he has extensive experience in implementing ERP systems and in correcting problems in existing ERP implementations to support lean business practices.

Mr. Tymoszenko holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
