Bill Humbert - Strategic Recruitment Consultant
Bill Humbert is an AIRS trained expert recruitment consultant with over 30 years of experience. He has worked with for profit and not-for-profit clients nation-wide, ranging from regional start-ups to $65 billion million dollar global organizations. He has read over 400,000 resumes, interviewed over 13,000 candidates over the phone or in person, and worked with over 3,000 hiring managers. In the past 15 years, he has helped organizations in a wide range industry sectors hire over 1,300 new employees from C-level to college recruit.
In 1981, Mr. Humbert began his recruiting career with MCI Telecommunications as his first client. In 1990, Mr. Humbert founded RecruiterGuy.com, his own contract recruitment consulting business. Mr. Humbert partners with clients to improve their recruitment processes, optimize recruitment websites, and implement recruitment marketing and branding to identify and deliver the best candidates available. Clients included The Washington Post, Comsat Labs, USF&G Insurance, Geico Insurance, CSX Technology, Telegroup, LeFebure, Intermec Technologies, Digital Broadband Communications, Latitude Communications, Identico Systems, and Transamerica.
As Strategic Recruitment Consultant at MainStream Management, Mr. Humbert focuses on recruitment process improvement, strategic recruitment marketing, recruitment communications, and recruitment. He evaluates Applicant Tracking Systems and Psychological/Personality Assessments and provides interview training for clients. Client projects include:
Harvest Manor Farms, LLC - For this $250 million snack and snack nut producer, Mr. Humbert was responsible for recruiting key positions in both the production facility and at the corporate management level. Positions recruited include: a bilingual Plant Human Resources Manager, bilingual Director of Manufacturing Technology, bilingual Plant Controller, Chief Information Officer, Manager of Financial Planning and Budgeting, Vice President Sales, and sales team professionals in nation-wide.
MCI – This telecommunications company was the second-largest long-distance provider in the United States and was recently purchased by Verizon Communications. Mr. Humbert developed and implemented the recruitment strategy to transition the company’s 200 employee critical IT Billing organization from Pentagon City, VA to Cedar Rapids, IA in 24 months while the organization was responsible for two new software releases per year.
Shentel – This Sprint-Nextel affiliate is a diversified telecommunications firm that provides both regulated and unregulated telecommunications services to end-user customers and other communications providers. Mr. Humbert consulted with Shentel to create a new standard job description that included 3, 6, 9, and 12-month goals. While recruiting a variety of employees from retail to senior marketing professionals worked on recruitment process improvement, including the acquisition of www.Shentel.jobs and the tweaking of the personality assessment use for entry sales candidates.
Mr. Humbert is a published author and renowned speaker. His most recent published book publication, a “RecruiterGuy’s Guide To Finding A Job” was released in 2010. Mr. Humbert was recently recognized as one of “50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading.” A number of Mr. Humbert’s blogs have been published by Recruiting Trends.
Mr. Humbert received his Bachelor Arts degree from Assumption College. He is a current member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is also one of three volunteer organizers of the Park City Career Network that has coached and mentored 66 professionals to find jobs since August 2009.
