Fred Clark is a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt with over 15 years of experience working globally for middle and large market companies. He has successfully guided organizations in strategic and operational performance improvement through LSS transformations resulting in millions of dollars of savings, cost avoidance, and operational efficiencies.

Mr. Clark has significant expertise in leading client teams, creating alignment, and delivering quantifiable results through performance improvement for Fortune 500, Global 2000, privately held, and public sector organizations in Europe, the Pacific Rim, and North America. Mr. Clark’s sector expertise includes the automotive, professional services, consumer products, pharmaceutical, high technology, manufacturing, and Department of Defense (public sector).

Mr. Clark is an Executive Consultant at MainStream Management. He provides clients with a strong, hands-on approach to guide them through the entire LSS transformation cycle. He works with clients to quickly identify and execute strategically significant projects that have sustainable results while facilitating cultural change and training the organization to make continuous improvement an integral part of their business.

As President and Founder of Clark Consulting, Mr. Clark led Lean transformations and provided coaching for cross-functional teams. He guided client organizations through strategy formulation and the deployment of Lean principles and tools to develop a sustainable culture of process improvements. Mr. Clark mentored client leadership through development of key performance metrics to track productivity growth and profit improvement.

As a LSS Master Black Belt Deployment Manager at Accenture (formerly The George Group), Mr. Clark worked with clients to identify and implement organizational transformation initiatives and operational excellence strategies. He provided LSS coaching and guidance to senior management in addition to leading Project Identification and Selection workshops to determine the strategic focus and direction of the LSS implementation efforts. He provided project status updates and coordinated the LSS transformation efforts across the entire organizations.

Prior to joining Accenture, Mr. Clark was a Senior Lean Consultant at Better Enterprise Solutions Corporation. He was the lead consultant for assisting the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), the largest of the U.S. Navy’s five system commands, in implementing a five-year LSS transformation plan. As the lead consultant for the project with NAVSEA, Mr. Clark was responsible for coordinating the training, implementing the strategy, and executing the Lean transformation.

Mr. Clark was a Lean Consultant for Universal Management Concepts, Inc. He provided LSS consulting services to develop and deploy enterprise best practices and improve overall operating performance at Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Clark learned the Toyota Production System (TPS) via the Growth Apprenticeship Program. The Growth Apprenticeship Program was a consulting spin-off of the very successful Lean implementation at Freudenberg NOK. The Growth Apprenticeship Program model is identical to Shingijutsu including value stream mapping, multiple team Kaizen events, and Policy Deployment.

Mr. Clark earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Carolina and Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University.
