Ms. Julie M. Hein, MBA, CRMC, is a dynamic executive with an impressive background in the direction, leadership and management of major sales, marketing, and business operations. Ms. Hein has over 15 years experience in the radio, print media, and communications industries. She has served as general manager, director of sales, and assistant general manager for a commercial FM station - Top 40 (CHR) format radio broadcaster. Ms. Hein possesses extensive experience building top-caliber teams and producing results that consistently surpass profit, ROI and corporate expectations. She has a strong mix of business strategy, service operations and marketing experience, as well as a professional understanding of national advertising and branding campaigns.

Ms. Hein joined MainStream Management in 2011 as a Senior Industry Consultant - Media & Communications. Her proven ability to manage and operate radio stations combined with significant skills in revenue generation are a perfect match with MainStream Management’s deep operations experience.

In addition to her advisory role at MainStream Management, Ms. Hein is General Manager / Senior Vice President of Operations at KZIA, Inc. Z109.2, a commercial FM station that broadcasts to over 100,000 listeners per week. She is responsible for overseeing direct sales, marketing, revenue growth and business operations at KZIA, Inc.. Ms. Hein manages recruiting, human resources, payroll administration, sales management, financial analysis, corporate budgeting, and cost control for organization. She directly supervises a professional team of 19 full-time, 20 part-time and 8 contract personnel. In addition, she oversees vendor selection and contract negotiation for best value options in HR benefits, administration, marketing, and supplies.

As Director of Sales at KZIA, Inc., Ms. Hein personally managed regional and national accounts garnering 30% of company share. Her duties included prospecting, developing, and driving new business opportunities through direct sales. She was responsible for the design and development of advertising and promotional campaigns and led the implementation of proven strategies to generate and retain greater market share.

As Assistant General Manager at KZIA, Inc., Ms. Hein performed detailed market analysis and competitive product research to improve marketing plans and strategic promotional activities. She was responsible for developing immediate and long-range strategic plans in support of client advertising objectives, while maintaining alignment with KZIA profit and performance goals.

Prior to being promoted to Assistant General Manager Ms. Hein was the Assistant General Sales Manager at KZIA, Inc.. Ms. Hein implemented training programs and initiatives aimed at producing top-caliber sales teams with a focus on quality customer service. In addition, she developed customer service policies and promoted quality client relations. Ms. Hein began her career at KZIA, Inc. as a Senior Sales Consultant. She was responsible for managing key accounts and generating new business revenues.

Ms. Hein earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing and Operations and a Bachelor of Liberal Studies (BLS) degree in Business and Sociology from the University of Iowa. Ms. Hein has completed a number of executive education courses in marketing, is active in her community in a volunteer capacity, and is a member of a number of regional/local professional organizations.
