Alan J. Horowitz - President, Public Sector
Mr. Horowitz leads MainStream's public sector business and has oversight for the major functions of the company including operations, consulting delivery, sales, marketing and contracting. He is responsible for steering the company towards long-term growth opportunities and expanding the company's influence within the public sector.
Mr. Horowitz has more than 25 years of experience and success in executive leadership, business development, and marketing in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Horowitz has developed business strategy and execution plans for key markets including federal DoD, federal civilian, federal intelligence agencies, state & local government, and education.
Prior to joining MainStream, Mr. Horowitz was the general manager of world wide public sector services at the Microsoft Corporation. He was responsible for launching the IT services business in U.S. public sector. This business became the largest revenue and profit producer in the America's for Microsoft Services, combined with top customer satisfaction results.
Mr. Horowitz received his MBA from Loyola University in New Orleans and his BS in Marketing from the University of Maryland. Mr. Horowitz is a member of the Air Force Association (AFA), Logistics Officers Association (LOA), Association of the United Stated Army, Navy League of the United States, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Business and Civic Leadership Center, Montgomery County Maryland, Chamber of Commerce, District of Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Government Market Master, Microsoft Current and Former Employees Association and Worldwide Management Consultants Association.
