David Ringel — Vice President, Operations
As Vice President, Operations for MainStream, Mr. Ringel is responsible for client satisfaction. This oversight role provides the link between expectations and delivery by promoting dialogue between the clients and the local consultants to foster growth and understanding through MainStream's unique set of assessment, networking, performance, and activity tracking tools.
Mr. Ringel brings 25 plus years of experience in public sector operations management having deep industry experience in the automotive industry. During his career he has learned, taught, and led successful improvement and transformation endeavors as a general manager, director of plant operations, director of Lean manufacturing, plant manager, shift manager, and production manager. Naturally given to teaching, Mr. Ringel embraces his role in every circumstance as that of a mentor, embedding the teaching and learning opportunities into the journey toward the goals. He acquired his Lean and Six Sigma certifications through the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center and For Lean Resource Center.
Mr. Ringel joined MainStream in 2006 as a Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Master and Senior Lean Six Sigma Consultant. His initial engagement was working out of the Air Mobility Command's (AMC) headquarters at Scott AFB in support of AFSO21 transformation (Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st Century). In this engagement, Mr. Ringel worked with the MAJCOM Commander and his staff, along with the 18th Air Force Commander, TRANSCOM, CENTCOM, and other agencies. Mr. Ringel has overseen the development and execution of strategy deployment at the MAJCOM level of the Air Mobility Command, and has been instrumental in integrating Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC processes, and the Air Force's OODA Loop into a cohesive deployment methodology while providing mentorship and coaching to numerous Air Force process improvement practitioners. In addition, Mr. Ringel has assisted the AMC in developing and executing their strategy alignment and deployment and overseen the development of enterprise-wide annual improvement priorities (AIPs), internal projects, and strategic plans being executed throughout 14 domestic wings and the European and Pacific en-route structures of AMC.
