Kali B. Mistry - Vice President, Western Region
Kali B. Mistry has more than 35 years of industry and consulting experience in executive leadership, plant management, supply chain optimization, performance improvement, and strategy deployment in the automotive, aerospace, biotech, defense, general manufacturing, and distribution industries. In addition, Mr. Mistry has significant experience within the public sector, specifically the Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Mistry has a wealth of international experience and is adept at navigating the cultures of several countries including the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Argentina, France, India, Japan and Canada. Mr. Mistry has been a mentor and coach to all levels of senior executives, middle management and shop-floor teams on change initiatives, organization mobilization, and organization realignment.
As Vice President of Operations - Business Practice Manager at MainStream Management, Mr. Mistry is responsible for developing key relationships with senior client personnel, and evaluating the needs of various operating units within the public sector. Mr. Mistry provides training, guidance, and mentoring of client leadership in Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) principles and methodologies with specific focus on Strategy Deployment. In addition, he is responsible for Business Development and a systems approach in Europe and Pacific rims in the public sectors.
Prior to being promoted as Vice President of Operations - Business Practice Manager, Mr. Mistry was Director of Operations / Senior Management Consultant for MainStream Management. In this role he led MainStream's public sector team that was selected to provide performance improvement services under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) contract for the U.S. Air Force - a $90 Million opportunity. In addition, Mr. Mistry served as MainStream's on-site manager for the Hill Air Force Base project, which involved scheduling, training and oversight of MainStream's public sector consulting team.
Prior to joining MainStream, Mr. Mistry was Senior Operations Consultant at ProGuide Management Resources. In this role he assisted organizations in the implementation of Lean / CPI practices, utilizing methodologies based upon the Toyota Production System. While at ProGuide, Mr. Mistry served as an independent consultant to various blood banks, bio-tech, and medical clients. Mr. Mistry was directly responsible for reducing overhead costs by $18 million in four projects, within the three years through employment of sound Strategy Deployment. In addition, he improved throughput in a processing lab by 50% through employment of Constraint Management methodologies.
As Manager of Operations Excellence at Eaton Corporation, Mr. Mistry provided leadership to international cross-functional teams worldwide in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, PRO-launch, and Cost Out Group efforts. His responsibilities included scheduling of internal consultants, coordination of projects with senior leadership, training and certification of team members. In addition, he was responsible for global balance score card management.
As Cost Improvement Project Manager at BTR Automotive, Mr. Mistry formed and trained a new North American corporate team in Lean Manufacturing techniques (Toyota production systems). The group was deployed in seven North American plants.
Mr. Mistry received his Bachelors of Science and Management Studies degrees from National College of Polymer Science and Technology in London UK.
