Ashley Hubler - Manager, Strategic Communications & Proposals

Ms. Ashley N. Hubler has over six years of experience in providing communications, marketing, analytical, and program support to organizations in the professional services, food and beverage, entertainment, and consumer products industries. Strengths include developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives, providing detailed analytical support to complex projects, and managing the proposal process.

As Manager, Strategic Communications and Proposals at MainStream, Ms. Hubler manages a diverse set of responsibilities that encompass several major organizational functions including marketing and communications, project support, proposal coordination, and industrial security program management, and span across MainStream’s public and private sector business units.

Ms. Hubler is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing MainStream’s marketing communications, and public relations activities. She ensures the effective and consistent communication of strategic messages to target audiences across print and electronic materials. Recently, Ms. Hubler led MainStream’s corporate re-branding initiative with a goal of strategically communicating the company’s vision, values, personality, and positioning.

Ms. Hubler provides detailed analytical support to MainStream’s executive leadership team on all aspects of client projects and assists in the creation of project materials including operating plans, offering memorandums, management presentations, market research, and competitive analyses. In 2009, Ms. Hubler played an integral role on the MainStream team that facilitated the successful sale of this $200 million snack and nut manufacturer to strategic buyer Ralcorp Holdings for $57.5 million (5.8 times EBITDA) in 2009.

Ms. Hubler coordinates all phases of MainStream’s proposal process in response to U.S. government and commercial requests for proposals (RFPs). She manages proposal efforts in both the prime and subcontractor roles and works closely with various function leads to meet proposal deadlines. She recently served as MainStream’s proposal coordinator on the winning teams of two large indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contracts: the Design Engineering Support Program (DESP) III (Department of Defense-wide with a $1.9 billion ceiling), and Contract Advisory and Assistance Services (CAAS) IV (U.S. Air Force-wide with a $7 billion ceiling).

As MainStream’s Facility Security Officer, Ms. Hubler manages the company’s industrial security program. She conducts security briefing, education training, and assistance as well as obtains rulings and interpretations for compliance with regulations from the Defense Security Service.

Prior to joining MainStream in 2007, Ms. Hubler was Director, Marketing for Perfect Game USA, a global amateur baseball scouting service. She was responsible for creating marketing communications materials, and planning special events, such as the company’s presence at conventions and an annual Homerun Derby, a free community event for youth. Ms. Hubler played a key role in establishing strategic partnership arrangements with Rawlings Sporting Goods Company and Nike SPARQ Training.

As Associate Creative Director, subsidiary of Perfect Game USA, BaseballWebTV.com is a start-up web-based subscription service, Ms. Hubler assisted in the formulation of creative strategies and direction of advertising and marketing campaigns. She composed, designed, and produced print and electronic marketing materials and distributed press releases nation-wide to various media outlets. She created and distributed quarterly e-mail blasts to a database of over 100,000 contacts.

Ms. Hubler was Event Marketing Specialist for Skillshow, Inc., a provider of professional sports videography at the amateur sports level. Ms. Hubler developed and executed marketing plans for premier national and regional amateur baseball scouting events and conventions. She coordinated marketing communications and public relations efforts. Ms. Hubler represented the company at Perfect Game USA’s National Showcase, a prestigious amateur baseball showcase event featuring future MLB first round draft picks and Aflac All-America selections.

Ms. Hubler earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with collateral majors in Public Relations and Writing and a minor in Spanish from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Post undergraduate, Ms. Hubler successfully completed The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business Finance and Accounting for the Non-Financial Manager program and Wall Street Prep’s Financial & Valuation Modeling course.

Ms. Hubler is active in her community in a volunteer capacity serving as president of her homeowners association, volunteering with Little Paws Dog Rescue, and supporting The National MS Society.
