Senior VP Operations Manager

Senior VP Commercial Operations

MainStream’s Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations manager will lead business development and customer care activities for targeted industries, including recruitment of new clients and expansion and retention of existing clients. This position reports directly to the CEO. In this role the person will be responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Lead the full life cycle of business development activities for targeted industries for our two focused areas of consulting services creating high performance organizations:
  • Continuous process improvement
  • Program and project management
  • Meet and exceed business development revenue targets for new and renewal business
  • Develop win/win relationships with business partners to grow our business and contracts portfolio
  • Successfully manage the consultants on contract with each client and provide the required support services for them
  • Meet with consultants regularly to understand contract progress and provide potential solutions to problems they may face
  • Lead and support selected commercial marketing program initiatives to increase awareness and grow pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Partner with the consulting delivery organization to ensure handoffs to delivery managers and consultants are effective and support customer satisfaction goals
  • Ensure reporting and communications are frequent and bi-directional

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the following:

  • Demonstrated successful experience managing a consulting services delivery team or organization is a big plus as this will provide greater insight into selling our services
  • 5-10 years of demonstrated successful experience in commercial sales and account management in the following areas:
  • Continuous process improvement consulting experience including Lean or Six Sigma experience
  • Program and project management
  • Overnight travel could be up to 30-50% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree. MBA from a top tiered program is a plus
  • US Citizenship is a MUST
  • Preferred location is Chicago metropolitan area, will consider candidates at other major hub airport locations.
