Senior Financial Analyst

We are searching for corporate restructuring consultants to fill Senior Financial Analyst roles in distressed companies. Candidates would benefit from demonstrated success in performance improvement and the corporate restructuring environment. These positions require a combination of analysis, creativity, confidence, mental toughness and the ability to work in an intense environment.

Job Description

Apply advanced accounting and analytical skills and business knowledge to various client situations and practice disciplines (e.g., financial modeling, and comparable company analysis, review/analysis of financial statements and projections, assessing business plans, claims, conducting due diligence on balance sheet and profit and loss statement items, etc.).

Prepare cash flow projections and model business projections based on actual or hypothetical transactions.

Maintain professional image within the firm and project the same to those outside the firm.

Work to ensure a quality product, as well as delivery of all work within established timeframes.

Prepare draft reports and other reports to third parties, as necessary, on the project scope, findings, and/or results of activities.

Individual must be a self-starter with the ability to work in fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Superior interpersonal, communication, leadership, management and organizational skills.

Extensive travel (up to 80%+) to client sites.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Admin, CPA preferred
  • 10+ years business experience
  • 5 - 7 yrs financial consulting experience
  • 2+ years experience with in or out-of-court restructurings, including:
  • Distressed cash flow modeling and forecasting
  • Bankruptcy filings, preference and liquidation analyses
  • Strategic cost realignment and turnaround planning
  • Proficiency with MS office
  • Proficient use and analysis of computer models and developing dynamic spreadsheet applications.
